The aim of this project is to gather as many video clips of Irish songs as possible, which is no easy task since it is near impossible to find them. Hopefully you will find this useful and maybe even have some clips of your own and you may even wish to share these clips - please do! You can contact me here

I was getting a large number of emails asking me about the clips so I thought I'd create this Frequently Asked Questions list, if you have any you think should be added please email me.

Q. Can I download the clips on your  website?

A. Yes! All clips can be downloaded by right clicking on them and selecting 'Save as' from the mini menu.

Q. I can't seem to be able to play the clips, what am I doing wrong!

A. You probably need Windows Media Player, or are using an Operating System other than Microsoft Windows, such as a O/S X for a Mac. If you're using an O/S that cannot play video files at all such as EPOC for a handheld, you're out of look I'm afraid. Otherwise try downloading a program that will play Windows Video files (QuickTime, for the Mac). If that doesn't work, you can contact me and we'll sort something out.

Q. When I Click on a file, it says it's not there!

A. Oops! Either the file doesn't exist anymore, or the link is outdated due to all my hard work at improving the site! Tell me and I'll fix it

Q. The quality of the files is awful, what's wrong?

A. There is nothing wrong. I have encoded the files that way so as the majority of people who use the slow Dial-up connections can see the clips without waiting for hours and spending loads of money! If you want  better quality files, contact me, but beware, the files are very big. For example, The Black Velvet Band video clip is 800 KB on the site, but the actual file is 100 MB, over 130 times bigger!

Q. The video clips are too big for me to download is there any other way I can get them?

A. There's always another way! I can encode them to make smaller files and email them to you, or I can send you a CD with the high quality clips on it (you pay for postage and CD-R, generally €2 altogether). Email me to sort out details.
